Why should I use a review platform? Aren't my testimonials enough?
Whenever it comes to making a decision for your business, always look at it from an outside perspective.
What do I mean by this exactly?
Usually, when a business owner has a question they need help figuring out the answer to for their business, but can’t figure it out, 100% of the time, it’s due to overthinking.
I always say, “What would you prefer if you were a client looking at someone elses business? Remove your business owner shoes and step into a client’s perspective.”
The Answer -
The reason I am mentioning this is the same goes for reviews. When we want to work with a small business, especially a service-based business, we go straight for the reviews. I personally do NOT want to see “written testimonials” on a website. Why is that? The reason why is that anyone can write those testimonials. I want to see a client video testimonial or a trusted review platform such as Google Reviews or Trust Pilot.
Which review platform should I use for a service-based small business?
In conclusion, if you are a service-based business, sign up for a trusted review platform and embed the reviews on your website.
